Timing Gear, 1200-1600cc

The VW Camshaft Drive Gear is a helical gear that spins the camshaft. The cam drive gear is installed on the crankshaft and is notched for the keyway. The cam drive gear fits 1961 through 1977 Beetles, 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles, 1961 through 1974 Ghias, 1961 through 1971 Type 2 Bus models, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s, 1973 to 1974 Things, 1983 through 1991 non-diesel Vanagons and 1986 through 1991 Syncros.
