Gasket, Oil Cap

This oil filler cap gasket is made of cork and is intended to only be used on stock Volkswagen (or OEM standard) oil filler caps. Cork gaskets are designed to swell from contact with oil, allowing the material to expand and create a good seal where the cap meets the oil filler neck. This gasket fits 1954 to 1974 Standard Beetle, 1971 to 1974 Super Beetle, 1956 to 1974 Karmann Ghia, 1955 to 1970 Type 2 (Bus), and 1973 to 1974 Thing models.
